On this page will explain how I use ozone treatment and what I am using it for, and it can be used for. Please note this is not Ozone gtheraphy it’s Ozone hair treatment.
Ozone therapy can be applied in many ways and for many conditions, traditionally via the blood, however recent studies show applying the gas rectally, or relaxing in a special ozone sauna is more pleasant and just as effective.
injections are OZONE THERAPHY
Ozone Treatment for Hair and Scalp
- Ozone therapy for hair has widely been acknowledged for its effectiveness in treating hair and scalp problems like dandruff, hair fall, hair thinning and damage. These hair problems are mainly caused due to factors like ageing, hormonal imbalance, poor hair care, unhealthy diet, illnesses and infections, genetic traits, pollution and other external factors, which generally dehydrate or infect the scalp to further weaken and damage the hair follicles.
- Ozone with its unstable molecule containing three oxygen atoms has high oxidising properties and releases free oxygen radicals on being injected in any part of the body like the scalp.
- The scalp and hair on being infused with ozone get oxidised leading to the formation of peptones on the hair shaft located in the middle of the strands.
- A protective layer, like the ozone layer guarding the earth’s atmosphere, is formed over each hair strand by peptones that safe guard the hair from breakage, damage and fall. This treatment is provided with the help of machines, combs, ozone creams etc in salons, spas, clinics and by dermatologists.
Benefits of Ozone Hair Treatment:
- On coming in contact with the roots of the hair strands, ozone rejuvenates and fortifies the hair follicles to strengthen and nourish the hair and scalp. This therapy improves blood circulation and eliminates any microbial infection present in the scalp and hair.

Ozone therapy can be applied in many ways and for many conditions, traditionally via the blood, however recent studies show applying the gas rectally, or relaxing in a special ozone sauna is more pleasant and just as effective. We provide all methods at Re:treat Medispa with Dr Eddin, who has been trained by renowned expert in ozone Dr Robert Rowen MD (USA) as well as the German society for the use of ozone in prevention and therapy.
- O3 therapy not only treats problems or hair breakage, thinning and loss but it also helps to treat other graver issues like psoriasis, seborrhoic dermatitis, balding and alopecia.
- It adds volume and density to the hair, repairs and reconstructs the strands like treating and eliminating the problem of split ends, controls frizz to make hair manageable.
- It stabilizes the scalp and treats dandruff issues, aids in regeneration of new hair, promotes hair growth and thus helps to create smooth, soft, radiant and beautiful tresses.
- Ozone is good for colour treated hair as the peptones strengthen the bonds between the hair strands and colour dye to protect the hair colour, make it last longer while adding luster to the locks.
Precautions:
- Ozone can have highly toxic and damaging effects on the body if injected in excess quantities.
- Small and regulated amount of ozone is sufficient for the therapy and O3 therapy should preferably be conducted on the advice and guidance of a dermatologist or healthcare practitioner while primarily keeping in mind the health condition of the person opting for the treatment like this therapy is not advisable for pregnant and breast feeding women, people with severe skin allergies etc.

I use ozone generator
- 1840: Ozone first named by C F Schoebein in Germany
- 1896: GENIUS NIKOLA TESLA – FIRST OZONE GENERATOR
What is Ozone?
Ozone is a gas made up of three oxygen atoms (O3). It occurs naturally in small (trace) amounts in the upper atmosphere (the stratosphere). Ozone protects life on Earth from the Sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation
Ozone therapy have germicidal effects that help eliminate flaking and itching by destroying fungus and harmful bacteria without causing any damage to the scalp skin and hair
Ozone therapy also improves blood circulation, stimulate hair follicles and encourage hair growth.
It also increases the density of the hairs and control hair fall both in women and men
Ozone causes peptones to be formed on each hair shaft, which forms a protective layer over each hair strand. Apart from stimulating hair follicles to naturally grow back hair, thetherapy also makes hair less frizzy, shinier, and reduces dandruff.
What are the benefits of using ozone treatments in salon
- Once in a lifetime you must have coloured your hair. Beautiful, isn’t??? However some additional issues occur sometimes. Ozone therapy gives a check on this. The triple oxygen contains peptones which act as a strong bond in between the shaft of the hair and the dye. Thus the hair colour remains protected along with the hair. Hence the colour throws its lustre and shine for a longer period. With different hair styles the colour reflects out beautifully.
Although the ozone treatment for hair is good enough to resolve scalp and hair issues, it can have side effects if administered in excess amounts. This treatment should not be attempted without an expert advice. The guidance of an experienced and professional dermatologist should be consulted and with prior advice only, the treatment should be followed up.
- For the hair to be grown healthy, blood needs to be circulated in the scalp cells to provide the required strength of the follicles. When ozone is administered into the roots of the shaft of hair then it acts as a fortification to the hair follicles. Ozone enhances the circulation of blood in the scalp and makes sure to eliminate any infection occurring on it. Hence the hair gets nourished with time.
