Suitable for all hair types, Zoltan says the treatment is especially effective for brittle, frizzy and damaged locks, and should ideally be repeated every three months for optimal results.
Do you know how old is your hair is?
It all depends on it’s length. At the roots it is new born; by the time it’s five inches long it’s a toddler; it’s a school child at shoulder length; and fully grown by the time it is half way down your back.
In other words, hair never really reaches old age, simply because it is programmed to drop out and renew itself every eight years. So why does hair need anti-aging treatments? Because it can still show signs of old age. The daily onslaught of sunlight and pollution, as well as backcombing, blowdrying, colouring, perming and straightening all speed up the passing of time for your hair, leaving it matte instead if shiny , prone to tangles, breaking and splitting.
While they’re good at detangling and adding shine, traditional conditioners are a temporary solution that only last until your next shampoo. But thanks to advances in salon equipment – such as deep-treatment steam pods – it is now possible to get high-tech micro-delivery formulations full of rebuilding ingredients – including peptides, keratin and amino acids – right into the hair shaft.
Stylist Zoltan Vargyai, who uses ATS Newborn keratin repair to help keep hair looking healthy and youthful, says: ‘My clients want coloured hair, they want permed hair and they want straightened hair, but they also want long, healthy hair.
“So when hair is damaged by a chemical process, I’m now able to offer an alternative to cutting away the damage. Newborn is a five step repair service designed to repair damaged hair from within, filling each hair shaft with active ingredients and leaving hair feeling strengthened and moisturised in just one hour.”
